In total, I missed two weeks of trading and two weeks of school.
I'm feeling way too stressed out right now as I have to catch up with exams, notes, school projects, tests, trading... so I decided to post my last posting probably for the month--my hands are packed until mid-December. (For my MicroEcon class, I haven't even read the textbook since I just guess the answers on the OnlineLabs(your allowed infinte attempts so probability wise, you'll get the right answer on the 5th-6th try).
I'd just like to say this guys.
Lesson #6: To succeed in the trading biz, you need to work your ass off. Work so hard that you break.
It's been 4 months since I started my job, and I'm starting to succeed. I've seen it all. I've been short 10,000 shares when F announced good news and got wiped out. I've traded with a massive migraine. I've traded day-in and day-out learning the biz. Now, things are starting to make sence, and I'm hoping for the month of November, I can pay off my bills. So how am I succeeding? All I did was work work workwork work and more work. Trust me guys, it really does pay off in the end to learn the markets. Never ever quit. Just work work work work and when you finnaly feel like dying, keep on working. That's how you succeed in the trading world. Read books, read articles, do backtesting of technical strategies, learn the psychology of how to play the markets, watch the T&S; LVII!! The thoughts of quitting are a no-no in the trading business. I imagine 'what if I quit the second week when I had losses'.. this would of been a huge shame!! DON'T QUIT, because you might be very close to your goal!
I'm off to a chaotic 75-100-hour work week. I have no clue how I'm going to survive this week.. My day is going to be like this for a while.
5AM Eat
5:30 AM Study
6:30 AM Shower
7:00 AM Study
8:00 AM Work until 5:00PM
--------------
5:00 PM Class
9:00 PM Study until Midnight
Sleep
Rince, repeat. No FB, no MSN, no E-mail, no social contact with friends/fam, nothing. God Dam.. big sacrifices has big rewards!
Next year, hopefully I can keep a more 'intraday' type of blog, but if I'm at work from 7AM - 5 PM and school from 6PM - 9PM I really don't have much time for much.. Sorry about that, I would love to have a complete blog....I'll try to post as many lessons as I can during this year.
Peace. See you guys next week. I'm saying see you next week so I don't feel obliged to make an intraday posting :)
LOVE, ADIOS, & HAPPY TRADING
